David Lean
Op 83 jarige leeftijd is David Lean in 1991 overleden.Geboren op 25 maart 1908 in Croydon, overleden aan kanker op 16 april 1991 in Londen. Hij won in 1958 en 1963 de Oscar voor beste regisseur, voor The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) en Lawrence of Arabia (1962).
