Ralph Richardson
Op 80 jarige leeftijd is Ralph Richardson in 1983 overleden.Geboren op 19 december 1902 in Cheltenham, overleden aan een beroerte op 10 oktober 1983 in Londen. Hij werd tweemaal genomineerd voor de Oscar voor Beste Mannelijke Bijrol, voor The Heiress (1949) en Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984). Hij won de prijs voor Beste Acteur op het Filmfestival van Cannes voor Long Day’s Journey Into Night (1962). Verder ontving hij een Saturn Award-nominatie voor zijn bijrol in Dragonslayer (1981) en in totaal 6 BAFTA-nominaties, waarvan hij er één won, voor Beste Britse Acteur in The Sound Barrier (1952).
