Lew Ayres
Op 88 jarige leeftijd is Lew Ayres in 1996 overleden.Geboren als Lewis Frederick Ayre III op 28 december 1908, Minneapolis, overleden in zijn slaap nadat hij al enkele dagen in een coma lag op 30 december 1996 in Los Angeles, Californië. Hij was driemaal getrouwd, met Lola Lane (1931-1933), Ginger Rogers (1934-1941) en Diana Hall (van 1964 tot aan zijn dood in 1996). Hij werd genomineerd voor een Oscar voor zijn hoofdrol in "Johnny Belinda" (1948). Sinds 8 februari 1960 heeft hij twee sterren op de Hollywood Walk of Fame, de Star of Motion Pictures (6385 Hollywood Blvd.) en de Star of Radio (1724 Vine Street).
